Bridgit Nicholson

Program Director

Bridgit fell in love with Emma’s Torch’s mission and lattes as a long time resident of Brooklyn, NY. When relocating to Washington, DC, she joined the Emma’s Torch team and brings experience in nonprofit management and a passion for economic empowerment. Previously, she managed several city funded non profit programs in NYC. As a returned Peace Corps volunteer, part of her heart remains in Lesotho, where she recently spent a year working with a local organization, Care for Basotho Association, to move their mission forward to empower women and girls.

Bridgit holds a Bachelors of Science in Applied Sociology and a Masters degree in Social Work. In her free time she loves traveling, hiking, trying new foods, and discussing the merits of Taylor Swift.
